I have to admit this scene is golden.
The thing I have noticed about Sherlock is that their acting style falls under the philosophy “less is more”
Her eyes are watery and it looks like she’s trying to get over the shock that she’s screwed. Other women antagonists would merely keep up their pride, and I suppose that’s part of their character. I think this is one of the few times I’ve seen a female antagonist break down in this kind of execution. It’s like she WANTS to cry but she’s still in shock and trying to pull herself together.
For me, crying like that without any help (eye drops, etc) is probably one of the things I admire in actors. It’s not as simple as making a face or bawling like a baby.
Lara Pulver gets the award in my book.
